Warblers are a small variety of bird found in wooded areas. They usually have gray, brown and yellow feathers. The family of Warblers includes more than 25 different varieties found throughout the world. They enjoy warmer climates and migrate south during the winter.
Instructions
1. Observe the Warbler bird in many regions of the world. There are many species of Warblers, and they vary in feather color and pattern. Most warblers have some shades of yellow and gray feathers.
2. Break out your hiking gear to find the Warbler usually in brushy areas. They build nests in trees as pairs or in colonies.
3. See the Warbler eating mainly insects found just below the ground's surface or in tree trunks.
4. Find the Warbler as it migrates. The bird spends much of its time in the northern climates but heads south for winter. Some even spend time in the tropical forests of South America.
5. Record the melody that the Warbler sings. The small bird has a loud voice and sings a variety of tunes with several repetitive notes.
6. Take a photograph of something you don't see a bird do every day. Some Warblers hang upside down from branches to pick insects and larvae off leaves. They use their strong feet to hold themselves upside down.
7. Watch the Warbler swoop into the air to catch flying insects. Many varieties of the Warbler catch their food in mid-air.
