Applying For Grants Decorate A Kid'S Bed room In Lime Eco-friendly & Hot Pink

You can combine hot pink and lime green in many ways in a kids bedroom.

You can decorate a kid's bedroom in lime green and hot pink in dozens of different ways. However, the necessary factor to consider when decorating with these colors is balance. You don't want to too much of one color and not enough of the other. You also don't want to overuse prints, so try to limit prints to either the walls, bedding or soft furnishings. If you keep this one tip in mind, decorating a kid's room in lime green and hot pink is a breeze.

Walls

One way to paint walls in lime green and hot pink is from the chair rail down; you can paint this section hot pink and everything else above it in lime green or vice versa. You might also paint the section from the chair rail down any of the two colors and paint alternating stripes of lime green and hot pink above the chair rail. If the room does not have a chair rail, determine its height by measuring the height of the ceiling and dividing it by three. Paint above and below it with whichever color you prefer. Likewise, you can paint the entire room in one color and paint the window frame, base and cornice in the opposite color or add a border across all the walls in the opposite color. If you have a large room, paint the walls in entirely one color and use the other color for accent pieces, such as a night lamp or throw pillows.

Furniture and Accessories

One of the easiest ways to decorate a room in lime green and hot pink is to choose furniture and accessories in these colors. You may find bean bags or an arm chair made especially for kids in lime green or hot pink. If you can't find a dresser or night table in either of these colors, you can find an inexpensive one to paint with spray paint in hot pink or lime green. If you have picture frames, replace the border inside the frames with hot pink or lime green paper. Other accessories that you can find in these colors include table lamps, storage boxes, floor rugs and wall decor.

Bedding and Soft Furnishings

When decorating a room in lime green and hot pink, you can keep the walls in a neutral color, such as white, and match the colors with the accessories, bedding and soft furnishings. If you can't find bedding with a combination of these colors, try mixing and matching. You can use a green or pink fitted sheet and and use pillow covers in any of the two colors, or use white sheets and one hot pink pillowcase and one lime green pillowcase. Match your window treatment to your bedding by using hot pink or lime green curtains as a nice touch. If your bedding uses solid colors, use a window treatment with prints in the same color, and if your bedding has a pattern, use a solid color for the window treatments. Although window treatments and bedding can match, don't attempt to match every single item, such as the bedding, windows, throw pillows and armchair.
