A comforter is so cozy, you might not want to get out of bed.
Down comforters are so luxurious, so comfortable and so fluffy that if you don't already have one, you should consider buying one. The problem is, they can be expensive. But don't let the cost of a down comforter stop you from sleeping in luxury. There are ways to get them on the cheap!

1. Check your local department stores for sales. Never pay full price. The best time to shop for cold-weather bedding is after winter has begun or even in the spring.
2. Buy on a day when you get additional discounts, on top of the sale, if you use your store credit card. Many stores run these promotions quite often and give between 10 and 20 percent off all purchases bought with your store card that day.
3. Get an even deeper discount, on top of the sale price, by purchasing the comforter at a store that has special discount days. On these special days, you can often get additional discounts of 20 percent off sale prices.
4. Search eBay to find great deals on all kinds of things, including down comforters. On eBay you can buy a new down comforter from a reputable seller. Again, look when sales for comforters would likely be slow -- in later winter and spring.
5. Check the clearance section of online bedding sites. You can save even more if you buy when they're offering a free shipping promotion.
