Become a princess for a day by making your own crown.
The image of a princess as a figure known for her generosity, loyalty and grace has become a prominent part of popular culture. Part of being a princess is looking the part. For a little girl to become a princess she will need to create her own crown. A decorated paper crown may not be made of gold and jewels, but it's a lot cheaper to build.
Instructions
Princess Crown
1. Turn a piece of construction paper into a wearable crown.
Measure your child's head. Cut a strip of construction paper that is 1 1/2 inches wide and 2-inches longer than the measurement you took. Draw a princess crown on another piece of construction paper.
2. Wrap the strip around your child's head and mark where the ends meet. Remove the strip and glue the ends together. This is the headband to the crown. Allow the glue to dry for approximately 30 minutes. Glue the crown to the headband.
3. Use markers to decorate the front of the crown and the band of the crown. Glue rhinestones on the crown to add sparkle.
