Spend a rainy day making Oreo cookie crafts with your kids.
Although Oreo cookies are already delicious, you can use these sweet treats to make fun dessert crafts with your children. Making dessert crafts can teach your kids a lesson about cooking and baking and while serving as a great group activity. Oreo cookies are the perfect medium to produce a creative snack.
Worms in Dirt
Your children will love this messy, yummy craft. Allow your kids to smash Oreo cookies up and put them into a large bowl. While the children are busy doing that task, put servings of pudding into small, plastic cups. When you are finished the kids can sprinkle their crushed Oreos over the pudding to create the dirt. Add gummy worms and a little whipped cream, and your creepy dessert is finished.
Turkey Craft
This craft is perfect for small children. Give each child an Oreo to open. The side with the most filling left will be your turkey's body. The other side can be eaten or discarded. Have each child place pieces of candy corn onto the Oreo's edge to act as turkey feathers. If the candy corn will not stick by itself, you can use a little canned frosting to hold it in place. Use another piece of candy as the turkey's head. Suggestions are a nonpareil or a Whopper. Consume and enjoy.
