Create A 16x16 Pillow

Pillows can accent any room in your home by adding grace and style. However, it can be a hassle, not to mention expensive, to go from store to store looking for the perfect pillows. By going to your local craft store, you can save money and time by buying material and sewing the pillow yourself.

Instructions

1. Measure the material. There should be enough material there to be cut into two equal-size pieces.

2. Cut the material into two pieces at 17 by 17 inches each.

3. Thread the sewing machine in the color of your choice.

4. Pin together the two squares of material, making sure to pin them inside out. Leave a space big enough to stick your hand in.

5. Sew the two pieces together. Leave a 3/4-inch edge all the way around. When finished sewing them together, take out all the pins and pull the material back out through the open space, turning the pillow right side out.

6. Stuff the pillow with the pillow stuffing. Don’t stuff so much in that you cannot sew it shut. Pin the opening closed and sew shut.
