Testing The Loa

The law of attraction is the belief that the universe will give you whatever you want if you simply ask for it, and you help by attracting it to yourself through positive thinking. The law of attraction is usually broken down into three parts: Ask for what you want, believe that you will get what you want and accept it when you do. Several methods can be used to test the law of attraction.

Feather Test

The feather test comes from Richard Bach, author of the book "Illusions," and it is quite simple to perform. You ask for a blue feather. You focus on that feather and think about it a great deal over the next two days. If it arrives, you accept it and thank the universe for the gift. Then you move on to the other things you really want.

Journal Test

Another test comes from your elementary school days. You write down what you want, and you do it in vivid detail. This is similar to writing down spelling words and their definitions. The purpose is to get you to not only clarify exactly what it is you want, but also to focus on that item. if you get the item, you accept it and thank the universe.

Keeping a journal for this test is a good idea because you can list what it is you want, write about it as though you have it, then make a notation when you have received the item.

Slideshow Test

This is an enjoyable test. You search the Internet for what it is you want. When you find images of those items, you save them into a folder on your computer. When you are done, you go into your control panel, then choose "display" and "screensaver." You choose to make that file your screensaver. Then you spend 10 minutes a day watching that file. If you receive an item, you delete that photo.

A variation of this is to get many pictures of the same thing that you want. Watch screensaver until you get that item, then choose something else to focus on receiving.

It's always good to write down when you started each test and when you were given the item in question. This way, you can see a pattern develop that will give you a good indication of a time frame, how much active focus you need to use and how effective your focus has been.
