The iPod Touch is a personal media player and pocket computer that allows you to connect to available WiFi networks and download and install applications from Apple's App Store. Facebook offers a free application that is available from the App Store. With this Facebook application you can chat with your friends using the application's instant message chat feature.
Instructions
1. Tap the "App Store" icon and press the "Search" icon. Type "Facebook" in the search bar and press the blue "Find" button. Select the "Facebook" application. Press the blue "Free" button and then tap the "Install" button. Wait while your iPod Touch downloads and installs the Facebook application. When the installation is complete, you will find a new Facebook icon on the home screen of your iPod Touch.
2. Tap the "Facebook" icon. Enter your Facebook email address and password and press the "Log On" button. Press the "Settings" icon located in the upper-left corner of the Facebook application.
3. Tap "Chat" and select the friend you would like to chat with. Type the message you would like to send to your friend and press the blue "Send" button. Your friend will instantly receive the message. When your friend responds to the message, the response will instantly display below the message you sent.
