Wedding Tiara Crafts

A wedding tiara is a popular aspect of he bride ensemble

Wedding tiara crafts can be ideal for a bridal shower, bachelorette party or even as entertainment for children during a wedding and reception. Tiaras are a traditional part of the bride ensemble, either in place of a veil, or in addition to a veil. The simplicity or the complexity of the tiara depends on the bride's preferences, which is the same for a tiara craft. Simple and elegant tiaras can be crafted as beautifully as an elaborate and bold one. Play with details and accessories to find the perfect balance.

Tinfoil

Mold a crown using tinfoil as your molding clay. Shape the headband portion as a solid layer, and use thinner, intricate layers for the crowns front. For added stability, glue the head portion of the crown to the top of a headband. For added detail, add some glitter or glue on some gemstones to the tinfoil. This craft is an ideal game for a bridal shower or as a entertaining craft for children.

Doily Crown

Use a lace medallion doily, ideally in silver, as the centerpiece for the crown. Back the doily with a piece of poster board for added stability. Paint the doily silver or gold if necessary. Glue the doily, backed with the poster board if applicable, to the top of a headband to fit securely on the. If desired, add some gemstones or glitter to the doily portion of the crown for some added sparkle and decoration. This is another ideal craft project for children, or even used by bridesmaids to wear out to a bachelorette party.

Paper Crown

Draw or print an image of a crown on a piece of paper or construction paper. Decorate the crown as desired, with gemstones, glitter, feathers and beads. Cut out the crown and draw and print a one to two inch strip for the base of the crown. Cut it out and glue it to the decorative front of the crown. This can be secured to the head either with tape or by utilizing bobby pins or a rubber band. Attach to a headband if desired for added stability.
