Throw A That'S So Raven Slumber Party

Host a "That's So Raven" slumber party.

Hosting a "That's So Raven"-themed slumber party is a great way to recognize your child's birthday or special achievement. "That's So Raven" is a hit Disney television series that features actress Raven-Symone as a teen with special psychic abilities. Plan a slumber party with lots of activities, including cooking, dressing up like Raven and watching a marathon of "That's So Raven" episodes.

Instructions

1. Create a guest list for the party. Invite people who you or your child are friends with who also like "That's So Raven" enough to enjoy a party with that theme. Gather the names, addresses and phone numbers of the people you will invite. Be sure that you have enough space to accommodate all of your guests for a sleepover.

2. Mail or send out your invitations electronically at least 14 days in advance. Be sure to indicate you are having a slumber party or sleepover. Mailing invitations is more personal but will cost you the price of the invitations plus stamps. If you are on a budget, you can send out invitations electronically through Evite.com or from your own personal email account. Check the "Resources" section for ideas for "That's So Raven" invitations and party supplies.

3. Follow up with your guests via telephone 7 days before your event so that you have an accurate count on who will be attending. Ask your guests to dress like Raven by wearing pink cheetah-patterned clothes such as a top, skirt, scarf or pajamas. You might also suggest wearing oversized hoop earrings, clear lip gloss, clip-on hair extensions, a mood ring or a chunky necklace, which are commonly part of Raven's wardrobe.

4. Purchase "That's So Raven" party supplies, create your own or hire a graphic artist to create party decorations for you. Many graphic artists available on Etsy.com or Zibbet.com make custom party decorations inexpensively that you can print from home (see Resources).

5. Make Raven's Macaroni and Cheese (see Resources) and have the guests pretend they are at the restaurant where Raven works. You could make special restaurant menus with the daily special and name each item after a character from the show.

6. Play on Raven's psychic abilities and have each guest read another's fortune by making up a funny prediction.

7. Watch "That's So Raven: Raven's House Party" DVD and sing and dance to the music.

8. Vote on the person who dressed the most like Raven and offer them a prize, such as a more comfy spot or bragging rights. Don't forget to have a pillow fight.
