Venetian masquerade
Italian themed proms or parties are becoming more popular, and bringing the landscape and atmosphere to your tables is simple. Typical tables at an informal Italian party would include red and white checkered tablecloths. Be more extravagant by bringing to mind one of the most beautiful locations in Italy -- Venice. Get your guests excited and involved in your party by incorporating Venetian Masquerade masks into your theme, and embellish your tables with masks, ivy and candles.
Instructions
1. Cut a foam block into a medium-size square and cover the foam with gossamer.
2. Attach masks to dowel rods with hot glue.
Purchase masks at a craft store or online in bulk. Cut dowel rods to different lengths, and hot glue the masks to the dowel rods, adding feathers to the tops of the masks.
3. Arrange the dowel rods in the foam and secure with hot glue. Three masks in one piece of foam should be plenty.
4. Take a strand of ivy garland and arrange it around the masks. Staple or hot glue the ivy in place.
5. Place the centerpiece on the table surrounded by candles to set the mood for the event.
