Burlesque styles are often bold and eccentric.
The word "burlesque" comes from the root Italian word "burlesco," or "burla," which means joke, ridicule or mockery. Burlesque style is often associated with theatrical plays or drama, as well as in some literary works and musicals. Burlesque costumes are often eccentric and designed with dramatic flair. Hair pieces worn often included large feathers and ornate gemstones. If burlesque is the look you're going for, a simple hair clip can be made to suit burlesque style with minimal difficulty.
Instructions
1. Arrange colorful peacock feathers into a fan shape. Position the largest feather in the middle and place shorter feathers in a descending order on both sides of the center feather.
2. Cut black cardboard to match the fan shape of the feathers. Apply glue to the black cardboard. Press the feathers together in the fan shape onto the cardboard. You may need to glue the feathers individually to one another on top of the cardboard to make them stick.
3. Open the large metal or plastic hair clip. Secure the cardboard and feathers to the large hair clip using hot glue. Ensure that you attach the cardboard and feathers to the side of the clip that doesn't directly touch the head. Allow the glue to set for a few hours
