Dover-Foxcroft in Piscataquis County, Maine, is a town of about 4,000. It was originally two towns, Dover and Foxcroft, separated by the Piscataquis River. About 40 miles north of Bangor, Maine, Dover-Foxcroft is near Peaks Kenny State Park, Sebec Lake and Interconnected Trail System 82. The area is popular for outdoor recreation including canoeing, fishing, hunting, hiking, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. Sebec Lodge
Available by the week, the Sebec Lodge on the shores of Sebec Lake has six bedrooms and sleeps 12 comfortably. The area surrounding the lodge is home to moose, bear, deer, turkey, coyote, fox, raccoon, otters, bald eagles, loons and ruffed grouse. Freedom House is an 1880s farmhouse on Main Street in the center of Dover-Foxcroft.
