Stains on sheets are never pleasant to deal with, but removing blood stains from sheets can be particularly burdensome. Tossing the sheets in the washing machine doesn't seem to remove blood, and stained sheets can become an irritating eyesore on an otherwise clean bed. There are several proven methods for blood stain removal, returning sheets to their previous state with minimal effort involved.

Several Simple Suggestions to Remove Blood Stains
1. Apply hydrogen peroxide to a clean cloth and wipe the stain until the blood is gone.
2. Rinse the stain with cold water. Make a paste of powdered laundry detergent and water and scrub it into the stain with a clean cloth. Rinse away any excess paste and launder as usual.
3. Pour a small amount of ammonia, just enough to saturate the stain and allow it to soak for five-10 minutes. Check the stain to see if it's gone and repeat if there is still blood visible. Wash the sheets in cold water once all of the blood has been removed.
4. Pour a small amount of hydrogen peroxide onto the stain and sprinkle baking soda on it. Use a toothbrush to scrub the baking soda into the stain and continue adding baking soda and hydrogen peroxide until the stain is gone before laundering.
5. Pour a capful of regular hair shampoo directly onto the stain and work it in with a toothbrush. Continue to scrub, adding more shampoo as needed. Launder the sheets in cold water once the blood stain is removed.
