Aggie's Skate Connection is located in Houma and is fun for children of all ages. This skating rink offers arcade games, snacks and a large rink to skate on. Skates and roller blades are available for rent. Birthday party packages are available served with hot dogs or pizza. It also has themed events, music and lock-ins all for children.

Bayou Terrebonne Waterlife Museum


The Bayou Terrebonne Waterlife Museum, located in Houma, studies the relationship between the local economy and show how the area began with oystering, shrimping and fishing. Children's activities include listening to stories from other who have spent their life on the water, simulate driving a shrimp boat out to shore and practice oyster toning techniques. Many other activities are an interactive section that houses information on fur and alligator harvesting, a hurricane exhibit and an exhibit on the collection and distribution of oil and gas.

Annie Miller's Son's Swamp and Marsh Tours


Annie Miller was known as Alligator Annie and was a professional snake handler and Cajun naturalist. Alligator Annie started the swamp boat business in 1979, now her son owns the business. Children will enjoy a ride out on a coast guard inspected tour boat for approximately two hours. Kids' will observe the marsh, bayou and canals, while learning about each one. On the boat tour, children will enjoy getting to see alligators, owls, snakes and egrets up close. They will learn about snake and alligator hunting, as well as the effects of erosion on wetlands.
