Patch small holes in blacktop before they become too damaged to repair.
Quickrete blacktop patch can be used to repair holes in asphalt or concrete. Common repairs include driveways, patios, walkways and the surrounding areas around drains. Quickrete does not require any mixing or heating and can be used straight out of the bag. Patching your asphalt and concrete surfaces is an important part of your home maintenance. Regular repair work will help prevent the need to replace the surface.
Instructions
1. Chisel the vertical edges of the hole to make them square, using a cold chisel and hammer. This will allow the patch to adhere more effectively.
2. Sweep the hole and surrounding area clean with a shop broom. Apply concrete and asphalt cleaner to the hole to effectively clean the damaged area for repair.
3. Spray the hole and surrounding area with a water hose equipped with a spray attachment. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly before continuing.
4. Fill the hole with Quickrete Blacktop patch so that the patch is approximately 1/2 inch above the surface.
5. Compact the patch so that it is level with the surface, using a tamper. Strike the patch with the tamper in an even motion to compact the patch.
