Ideas for a Little Girl's Diva Party
Little girls admire the lifestyles of many celebrities---getting pampered, dressing in the latest fashions and strolling down the red carpet. She may desire the fame, fortune and success of many superstar divas. Give your little girl and her party guests the star treatment with a diva-themed birthday extravaganza.
Glitzy Invitations
Announce your daughter's diva party with special invitations. Create homemade invitations with pink paper and glitter glue. For less hassle, diva-themed invitations can be brought at party supply stores or custom diva-themed invitations can be purchased online (see Resources below).
Dazzling Decorations
As guests arrive, they can scroll down a pink carpet runner. Silver star Mylar balloons, glitter streamers and feather boas can be placed throughout the party room. Scatter star confetti on a pink tablecloth. Place small purses filled with candy, feather pens and lip gloss on silver paper plates.
Mini Makeovers
Provide girls with glam dress-up items, such as feather boas, colorful wigs, glitzy costumes and sunglasses. With parents' permission, apply makeup to guests' faces and paint their nails with glitter polish. Take snapshots of the guests. Create a photo album for the birthday girl.
Entertaining Activities
Girls can make their own diva earring and bracelet creations with sparkly star and glitter beads. Provide a karaoke machine and guests can sing-a-long with their favorite hit songs. Watch diva-themed movies and have the birthday girl autograph pictures of herself for guests.
Superstar Snacks
Using a star cookie cutter, make star-shaped sandwiches. Make "diva" cookies with alphabet letter cookie cutters. Other food items could include veggie and fruit trays, potato chips and crackers, strawberry, and pink cupcakes with star sprinkles.
